The ICCF has awarded the hosting rights to the 2014 ICCF Congress to Australia. This important event coincides with the 85th anniversary of the Correspondence Chess League of Australia.

The venue will be the ParkRoyal Hotel in Parramatta, 11-18 October 2014.

Here is a copy of the official announcement

To Member Federations Delegates, To ICCF Officials,

During the ICCF Congress held in Pretoria, the Delegates have unanimously voted in favor of the proposal made by the Correspondence Chess League of Australia (CCLA) to host the 2014 Congress in Sydney, Australia, provided all necessary information are provided to the ICCF Executive Board (EB) before end of 2012 (see proposal 37 in the 2012 Congress minutes).

I am glad to report that the CCLA has sent a very detailed proposal and answered all questions raised by the EB and we can now officially inform that the 2014 ICCF Congress will be held in Sydney, between October 11th and October, 18th, 2014.

You will find in the message a power point presentation detailing the proposed Congress programme and the venue for the Congress, the ParkRoyal hotel.
Alternate accommodation can be found at the following address:
http://www.wotif.com/hotels/australia-sydney-parramatta-hotels.html
Some places may require a bus ride or walk to the ParkRoyal (the Sydney Olympic Park should be
avoided, it is too far away). The University of Western Sydney (UWS) Village offers simple alternative accommodation.
More details will be provided in due time.

I hope to have the pleasure to meet you for the first time in a Congress in Australia.

ICCF President
